HEMSWEATHER

Jens Fjelnset, a helicopter pilot who has worked many years for the Norwegian Air Ambulance Foundation, came up with an idea on how ambulance pilots with better knowledge on weather and flying conditions could carry out more missions. The Air Ambulance Foundation engaged ablemagic to develop a system for weather surveillance.

HEMSWEATHER consists of photo boxes placed in central locations throughout Norway. Inside the boxes are standard SLR cameras taking pictures in all directions every 15 minutes and reporting the images to a central database. The registered weather cam data is presented both on web and in a separate app.
